The Otley Run (2020)
The famous Leeds pub crawl, the Otley Run, drawn by hand by Leeds artist Ben Staves
If you have studied in Leeds, you will know all about “The Otley Run”. Nothing to do with the small market town of Otley, it is an infamous pub crawl along the Otley Road from the student heartland of Headingley, into Leeds City Centre. Strictly speaking, nowadays the run should be done in fancy dress and such revellers can be spotted in Ben Staves’ interpretation of the pub crawl. A must as a graduation present or to adorn any student wall, this piece isn’t done in Ben’s usual globe style. Instead, the picture is designed to make you feel a bit tipsy as you view it spiralling into the centre!
