StavesArt 'Research Trip' - Forest v West Ham!

Ben drew the City Ground as a private commission a couple of years ago and the prints, which we sell via StavesArt, have been popular on line and at markets.  There are quite a few Forest fans knocking about!  On the market stall we must remember not to refer to Forest as “Notts” forest – it really winds them up!

Ben drew West Ham’s old ground, Upton Park, or to be more precise “The Boleyn Ground”, before Christmas this year as we had a Christmas show on in the capital.  I’ve yet to hear a West Ham fan tell me they prefer the London Stadium to Upton Park!

One day, we will have all the grounds drawn (perhaps).  For the time being, and in order of our sales (based on 2023 figures), our football league table is as follows;

  1. Liverpool Anfield
  2. Newcastle United St James’ Park
  3. Leeds United Elland Road
  4. Manchester United Old Trafford
  5. Manchester City Etihad Stadium
  6. Arsenal Highbury and Emirates
  7. Chelsea Stamford Bridge
  8. Tottenham Hotspur White Hart Lane
  9. Everton Goodison Park
  10. Nottingham Forest City Ground
  11. Sunderland The Stadium of Light
  12. Aston Villa – Villa Park
  13. Glasgow Celtic – Celtic Park
  14. Glasgow Rangers Ibrox
  15. West Ham United Upton Park (only available part of the year)
  16. Crystal Palace Selhurst Park
  17. Brentford Gtech Community Stadium
  18. West Bromwich Albion The Hawthorns
  19. Wolverhampton Wanderers Molinuex (only available part of the year)
  20. York City Bootham Crescent

Since the start of this year, the Sheffield grounds – Hillsborough and Bramall Lane have been added to our collection and Old Trafford has been updated.  It’s been needing a renovation for a while (that’s the real ground) so we thought we’d show them how it’s done!
